Experience in Flipped Classroom – from the perspective of learning achievement in the class of statistics
On Oct. 30, Dr. Lee shared his experience in application of flipped classroom in the statistics class. During the talk, he explained the procedure of flipped classroom which is applied in the freshmen’s statistics class and also compared students’ grades between flipped classroom and traditional lecturing class. The results showed that under flipped classroom, students’ grades are significantly higher than those under traditional lecturing class. He also found that the number of students with grades lower than 60 are reduced under flipped classroom. He also shared his observations about students’ learning behavior in the talk.
