International Student Lyen Krenz Yap Presents Her Research at The International Conference on Gender and Women’s Studies
The International Conference on Gender and Women's Studies 2022 was held on July 28th-29th at the National University of Singapore Society in Singapore. It was the first face-to-face Gender and Women’s Studies conference held since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Out of almost 200 abstracts submitted, 29 delegates were selected to present their emerging feminist and queer interdisciplinary studies. Lyen Krenz Yap, a rising 2nd Year Master's Degree candidate from the Department of Psychology’s International Program, presented her applied policy research entitled, "Double Isolation: The Psychological Impact of Taiwan's Mandatory Quarantine to Female International Students," which she developed from her 1st year Research Methods class taught by Dr. Kristine Lin. Ms. Yap was awarded a presentation scholarship by the International Center for Research and Development and currently serves as one of the youngest committee members of the conference. Congratulations, Ms. Yap!
