You are welcome to attend the online seminar (in English), “How the Brain Decides What Tastes Good,” by Dr. Jian-You Lin of the Psychology Department and Program in Neuroscience at Brandeis University. Dr. Lin is one of the leading experts in the
neural basis of taste, reward learning, and ingestive behavior. His research reveals how the brain transforms simple chemical inputs into rich perceptual experiences and food preferences, particularly the insular cortex, a key hub for integrating taste signals with emotion, memory, and motivation. This seminar offers an engaging introduction to cutting-edge neuroscience as our campus prepares for the upcoming Nobel Laureate Forum (Jan. 1-6, 2026). All are welcome to join and contribute to our growing neuroscience community.
